Andy Lovell's prints are inspired by drawing and painting and printmaking in the landscape.

He interprets his subject matter through bold mark-making that captures an amalgamation of weather and light and the sense of place that is experienced sitting within a space for several hours. His printmaking processes then allow and encourage a bold interpretation of these initial sketches and paintings to create a final print and are taken from travels around the country.
